Everything exceeded my expectations. The Sherpa culture alone is worth the journey — the prayer flags, the mani walls, the monasteries, the warmth of local people in every village. Our guide Kami was thoughtful and incredibly patient. The views of Ama Dablam from Tengboche made me stop walking and just stare. Kala Patthar at sunrise made me completely forget I was exhausted and freezing.

On the trail, guide Nima could identify every peak visible from every viewpoint, explain the geology of the glaciers, and share Sherpa folklore by the fire every evening.
